Annual Christmas Celebration Hosted
by: Bonifay Fire & Rescue and
the City of Bonifay
Saturday, December 12, 2009
The
Bonifay Fire & Rescue and
City of Bonifay will host the 6th
Annual Christmas Celebration in
Bonifay on Saturday, December 12,
2009 at Veterans Park across from
Memorial Field.
The celebration will kick off
with the Bonifay Fire Department
Christmas Parade of Lights in
downtown Bonifay beginning at
6:00 PM. After the last
participant of the Christmas
Parade of Lights has gone through
Veterans Boulevard, the Bonifay
Police Department will close the
road to all traffic. Come and
enjoy the family fun that is
packed full of the sights and
sounds of Christmas.
The Christmas Parade of Lights
will start at the Bonifay Piggly
Wiggly and go through downtown
Bonifay beginning at 6:00 PM and
will end on Veterans Boulevard.
Line up will be held at the
Bonifay Elementary School located
at 307 West North Ave. All
participants are asked to be at
the school no later than 5:30 PM,
be in festive holiday attire, and
have their vehicles and floats
decorated with Christmas lights
and decorations. For safety, you
are asked NOT to throw candy or
beads as you go through the
parade route. Santa will hand out
treat bags to all the children at
the Christmas Celebration. For

Get in the Christmas spirit by
following the parade to Veterans
Park where there is lots to see
and do at the Christmas
Celebration. Enjoy the festive
season as you walk through the
Christmas lights on your way to
visit Santa. The Holmes County
Key Club will be on hand dressed
as Super Heroes to help entertain
the kids along the way. As a
special treat, the Bonifay Fire
& Rescue has invited the very
talented HCHS Chorus to perform
this years Holiday Concert.
As always, the City of Bonifay
will provide FREE hot chocolate
and Bonifay Fire & Rescue
will prepare hotdogs for a
donation to help out their Toys
for Tots program.

& Remembrance Parade
On
Friday, September 11th, 2009
starting at 10:00 AM a Parade
will start at the Bonifay
Elementary School and travel down
Waukesha Street and end at the
Holmes County Agriculture Center
on Highway 90. The parade will be
followed by a luncheon for all
emergency volunteers and
professionals, provided by the
local churches and the Holmes
County Ministerial Association.

provide FREE hot chocolate. New for 2008,
the Bonifay Fire & Rescue will
prepare their famous BBQ sandwiches for a
donation to help out their Toys for Tots
program.

Our
pancake breakfest was held during rodeo
weekend and a was huge success. Thanks
goes to all the volunteers and to
everyone who attended this years
breakfest and made it a success.
