About Us

The Bonifay Fire & Rescue is a small town fire department located in the panhandle of Florida. The department responds to emergency calls in the city of Bonifay and also responds to the surrounding area when needed. Whether it be a fire, natural disaster, vehicle accident, or any other emergency, you can always count on the volunteers of the Bonifay Fire & Rescue to come to your aid.

 

Our Equipment

Our Newest Fire Engine. This truck was recently purchased through grants and it now a vital asset to the city of Bonifay.

This unit responds primary to all structure fires in Bonifay Fire-Rescue's response district. It also responds to City Limit motor vehicle crashes when needed and large vehicle fires.

 

 

This is a photo of our recently retired fire engine. This truck is going to be used for parades and local community events.

 

 

 

Pumper 1 - GMC E-ONE Pumper
-Equipment on board: Hale pump with 1000 gallons of water.
-One inch booster line with electric hose reel.
-Eight sections of 1-1/2" attack line.
-2-1/2" supply and exposure line.
-Positive Pressure Ventilation Fan
-Honda generator with two scene lights.
-(5) MSA SCBA

This unit responds primary to all structure fires in Bonifay Fire-Rescue's response district. It also responds to large vehicle fires & large wildland fires.

 

Attack 1 - Ford F-SUPERDUTY - Small fire attack unit
-Equipment on board: Honda 20.0 engine powered pump and a FoamPro system with 500
gallons of water and 10 gallons of foam.
-One inch booster line with electric hose reel.
-Three sections of 1-1/2" hose.
-Honda generator.
-(2) body mounted scene lights.
-Variety of sizes of motor vehicle crash cribbing.
-Wildland firefighting equipment.
-Forcible entry tools.
-(2) chainsaws
-(3) bags of oil dry for spills

This unit responds to all motor vehicle crashes in Bonifay Fire-Rescue's district. It also responds first to all wildland fires & vehicle fires.

 

 

Squad 1 - Chevrolet Suburban 4WD - Extrication Unit
-Equipment on board: HURST Jaws of Life Simo-Pump, HURST long arm spreaders, HURST
short arm speaders, HURST cutters, HURST long ram spreader, HURST short ram spreader
-Emergency Medical Response bag including oxygen.
-AED

This unit responds to all motor vehicle crashes in Bonifay Fire-Rescue's response district which includes I-10 from mile marker 115 - 96.
Squad 1 is capable of seating six firefighters. The HURST tools are easily deployed by a steel tray that extends out from the back doors which includes (2) 100' hydraulic hose reels. These two hose reels allow Squad 1 to be safely positioned at the scene of a crash but still be accessible.

 

Tanker 1 - International Water Tanker
-4,000 gallons of water
-rear mounted water pump
-SCBA refilling station

This unit responds secondary to all structure fires in Bonifay Fire-Rescue's response district. It also responds for water supply to large wildland and vehicle fires. Tanker 1 is one of the only water tankers with the capability of pumping water directly from the tank.
